Alas I've been away......

As it goes with this time of season I've been crazy busy. But all orders are shipped and I'm almost done with everything else. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will probably only post one more time this year. I am also going to be redesigning my site to update it for the new year.

Christmas Rules For Dogs

1. Be especially patient with your humans during this time. They may appear to be more stressed-out than usual and they will appreciate long comforting dog leans.

2. They may come home with large bags of things they call gifts. Do not assume that all the gifts are yours.

3. Be tolerant if your humans put decorations on you. They seem to get some special kind of pleasure out of seeing how you look with fake antlers.

4. They may bring a large tree into the house and set it up in a prominent place and cover it with lights and decorations. Bizarre as this may seem to you, it is an important ritual for your humans, so there are some things you need to know: - Don't pee on the tree - Don't drink water in the container that holds the tree - Mind your tail when you are near the tree - If there are packages under the tree, even ones that smell interesting or that have your name on them, don't rip them open - Don't chew on the cord that runs from the funny-looking hole in the wall to the tree

5. Your humans may occasionally invite lots of strangers to come visit during this season. These parties can be lots of fun, but they also call for some discretion on your part: - Not all strangers appreciate kisses and leans - Don't eat off the buffet table - Beg for goodies subtly - Be pleasant, even if unknowing strangers sit on your sofa - Don't drink out of glasses that are left within your reach

6. Likewise, your humans may take you visiting. Here your manners will also be important: - Observe all the rules in #4 for trees that may be in other people's houses. (4a is particularly important) - Respect the territory of other animals that may live in the house - Tolerate children - Turn on your charm big time

7. A big man with a white beard and a very loud laugh may emerge from your fireplace in the middle of the night. DON'T BITE HIM!!

Fudge and Weather

I've been on a fudge kick,I made my second batch of chocolate and a batch of peanut butter. I was at the big Walmart last night until 12:30 but I am finished with shopping! This week is finishing up last minute details and getting last minute orders done. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great season!

Root Canals and Christmas Cards

It's been a rough week, it's been a crazy week due to Christmas rush orders and the fact I just started shopping! Then I went to the dentist and had to start my root canal and try to explain to my husband that my tooth was worth the $800 out of pocket costs. He was convinced it would be better to just pull the tooth(men!!!) But most of that is over now and I'm in full Christmas mode. I shipped all the Christmas cards yesterday, all $20.00 worth of stamps! I have all my supplies for cookie baking next week and need to get gingerbread house supplies. One of my favorite things to do is have our best friends 11 y/o daughter over to bake. By the end of the day the kitchen is a disaster area,and we are both in sugar high land. But we both look forward to it all year. I'm finishing up on Christmas orders and we're getting our new labels in! I can't wait to share photos! Thats all for today but I'll try to post again soon! I finally figured it out..

I never thought it would be so hard to find a cute christmas template, but wow it was! Let me know what you think of this one I've been working on finding it now for about a week lol!

Update on a post

Well I found out the christmas card to a soldier is a no-go apparently they do not accept them. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I'm still stuffed! Taking a break today and then will be working on orders tomorrow. Also trying to decide what special I'm going to offer on Monday, any ideas would be appreciated! Also have to revamp the site with new graphics.

Sheesh I'm tired!

Well I've got almost all of the decorations up for Christmas, it took a few hours but there are 5 trees up! I'm tired but it makes the house look so nice,even if I did tone it down a bit this year(I usually do 7 trees) Ah now to get Thanksgiving over with and start shopping! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your's!

Sharing some recipies

These are favorites in my family I'd love to share
CHEESE BALL

2 8 OZ PKG CREAM CHEESE, softened
3 PKGS CHIPPED BEEF



6 green onions and tops, chopped fine
dash Worcestershire sauce
dash Accent or seasoned salt
dash garlic powder

Cream the cheese; add 2 and 1/2 pkgs chopped beef, reserve the 1/2 pkg for rolling cheese ball. Add onions and seasonings to taste. Form in a ball and roll in remaining beef.

Baked Chicken Salad
3 TO 4 LB CHICKEN, COOKED, SKINNED AND DICED (I just drop a whole chicken in crock pot, no water or anything else....4 hours on high)



3 STALKS CELERY – DICED



½ CUP ALMONDS, SLICED



½ TSP SALT



½ TSP GRATED ONION



2 T. LEMON JUICE



I CUP HELLMAN’S MAYO



½ CUP SHREDDED CHEDDAR







COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS. PLACE IN BAKING DISH AND TOP WITH 2/3 CUP CRUSHED POTATO CHIPS



BAKE AT 350 FOR 20 MINUTES.

Christmas

Is anyone else getting excited? I'm starting this week putting up items I have a ton to do. We usually have 7 trees and I'm thinking of adding a 9ft as my main showcase tree. I've been busy looking for handmade gifts to make and even addressing christmas cards.

ahh everything is caught up

Well the site is fixed(until we change it for christmas)the plugboard is running and our myspace is growing. What else could a gal ask for? Well since I'm caught up so I can start working on the new changes. We will be switching our wax soon to a soy-parrifan blend. This will give us the best of both worlds and we are quite excited about it!

Well my first official blog post hmm what to say... Mostly I plan on musing about my candles and upcoming things with them and other crafts I'm trying. I'll be posting specials on here as well as site updates. And who knows what else. Well thats all I can think of for now!
